Strange Days indeed! I was a little concerned about this reissue as I had heard that the original master tapes were nigh on unusable and that a digital transfer was the source. Regardless this is a great sounding album, full of little nuances that previous reissues either miss entirely or lose in the recommended, now for some more Doors/5().

I consider this an extra Strange Days version, and I'm happy to have it. To me, this is almost a concept album, given the lyrical content, the order of the songs, from the title track that opens the album, to the finale When the Music's Over, the album art; it all goes together so well/5().

Future FM rock and AM oldies classics "People Are Strange" and "Love Me Two Times" (which only went to 25 in the charts!) join "When the Music's Over," (a bloated "The End" rewrite), "Horse Latitudes," and "Moonlight Drive" as fan favorites.

The Doors recording debut unfolded in remarkable fashion with a string of hit singles and two platinum albums, beginning in January with the band’s self-titled release, followed by Strange Days in September. The former included The Doors ‘ #1 smash, “Light My Fire.” Strange Days delivered future classic rock greats like “People Are Strange,” “Love Me Two Times” and “When.
